NFL Divisional Round Predictions

The NFL wildcard round had it all for bettors. It had massive blowouts, recording breaking performances, and a few shocks. Many people came away with a tidy profit, while others were just happy at the excitement from betting on their favorite sport.

Nothing stands still in the sporting world, and the NFL divisional round is almost here. That means plenty more betting opportunities for NFL fans across the US. Our BestAppBet experts are ready to once again offer their advice on the best wagers you can find.

Our wildcard round predictions didn’t work out, but we hope you still had a fun time wagering. We’re sure our experts have hit the nail on the head this time. So read on to discover the best bets you can place on the upcoming NFL divisional round.

Bengals vs. Titans

The Cincinnati Bengals put its long wait for a playoff to rest after a convincing victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Joe Burrow is playing the football of his life and has carried his late-season performances into the postseason. Sure there are issues in the team, including the offensive line, but the Joe Burrow-Ja’Marr Chase connection has been super fun to watch. No one wants to face this team capable of turning games around on a dime.

Despite the Tennessee Titans being the top seed team in the AFC, its hopes of overcoming the Bengals may rest on the fitness of running back Derrick Henry. He was in fantastic form until suffering an injury in Week 8. Since then, the team built around the running game performed admirably to reach the top seed. If Henry is playing, you should back him to score a touchdown.

However, not many experts will support Ryan Tannehill to put this offense on his back and carry the team if Henry does not return. Tannehill was one of the worst-performing QBs to play 17 games this season, and his average passer rating of 89.6 won’t inspire much confidence. Also, only Josh Allen and Trevor Lawrence threw more interceptions for QBs that played every game. It might be worth backing Tannehill to throw an interception if Henry doesn’t play.

On the Bengals side of things, betting on Ja’Marr Chase to score a touchdown has surprisingly generous odds on DraftKings. It’s at +105 for an anytime touchdown, and we would jump on this, considering he’s Burrow’s favorite receiver.

49ers vs. Packers

The San Francisco 49ers beat the odds and fought past favorites, the Dallas Cowboys, in an excellent performance to reach the divisional round. The 23-17 game was left hanging in the balance until the last moments, but a solid defensive showing limited one of the best offensives this NFL season to only 300 total yards. An injury to Nick Bosa could be costly, as the 49ers’ defensive line wreaked Dak Prescott’s game with five sacks.

Could this be Aaron Rodgers’ last dance with the Green Bay Packers? Whatever happens in the offseason, this team is ready to win here and now. The offense is loaded with weapons and will always be dangerous with Rodgers under center. The defense performed in the top ten for yards allowed and the top three for turnovers. The bye week may give injured players like offensive tackle David Bakhtiari a chance to return.

So what do you back? The spread stands at -6 for the Packers on DraftKings. Considering the 49ers have been underestimated before doesn’t feel appealing. DraftKings offers 50 receiving yards and a TD for Devonte Adams at +400. This is pretty good value for money, considering Rodgers may rely on him when under pressure.

Rams vs. Buccaneers

This game could be a spectacle as Matthew Stafford, coming off his first playoff win, faces off against the most successful man in NFL postseason history, Tom Brady. The Los Angeles Rams come into this off the back of an impressive victory over the Arizona Cardinals. The defense starred as players like Aaron Donald limited the Cardinals offense to almost no yardage in the first half and less than 200 yards across the whole game. Stafford managed the game well and finished with a 154.4 passer rating. Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham Jr performed excellently, with Beckham even registering a 40-yard pass.

The Bucs meanwhile posted a routine victory over an outclassed Philadelphia Eagles. Brady was as efficient as always, and the team should be stronger this week with players returning from injury like Leonard Fournette.

This game is tough to call, and we can see arguments for both sides. It’s unlikely Brady has a poor game, and the Rams win by a blowout. However, Stafford has had issues with interceptions this season. If things start to go wrong, he could implode. You can find customizable spread odds on BetMGM. You will get a better payout by picking the Bucs at a spread higher than the -3 being offered.

Bills vs. Chiefs

The Buffalo Bills vs. the Kansas City Chiefs. Josh Allen vs. Patrick Mahomes. We’ve seen this before, but it’s always fun to watch. The Bills are coming off the back of a dominating game against the New England Patriots. Allen had a record-breaking game that included throwing 5 TDs in freezing conditions. Mahomes also threw 5 TDs in an easy game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. One of his favorite targets, tight end Travis Kelce, had an excellent game with over 100 yards and a TD.

DraftKings offers +2000 odds for Mahomes and Allen to throw 10+ TDs in this game. It’s unlikely, but these games do tend to be high-scoring. It might be worth a small prop bet. The Chiefs lost the game earlier in the season, and its defense still has issues. Mahomes has struggled with interceptions this season, even throwing one against the Steelers. Teams that play clean football in the playoffs win games. We say back the Bills to win and Mahomes to throw an interception.
