And the madness continues…
Between Oregon State’s glory run to the Elite 8, the Zags dominate display in the West region, or the Oral Roberts U. Cinderella story comes to a devastating end.
This past weekend of college basketball was filled with a variety of memorable moments, and now we look on to the teams remaining in the Elite 8 to finish off this magical 2021 season.
Elite 8
12. Oregon St. vs. 2. Houston
Monday, March 29
7:15 PM (EST) – Lucas Oil Stadium (CBS)
The Beavers are back! (And so are the Cougars!)
This is one of the harder games to predict, as neither team has been to an Elite 8 since 1984, and both play tough/aggressive defense, and love the deep ball. They play similar styles of basketball, and while all signs seem to point to Houston winning this one. Do not be surprised to see Oregon State pull out yet another upset. If they can knock down their shots, and continue their blistering defense, then Oregon State could very well knock off another top seed.
Bet on the Beavers!
Our Pick: Oregon State
3. Arkansas vs. 1. Baylor
Monday, March 29
9:57 PM (EST) – Lucas Oil Stadium (CBS)
Baylor is coming off debatably their worst performance of the season, and yet they never really seemed to struggle against an experienced Villanova team. While they may have the most talented team in the country, Arkansas has emerged as one of the better defensive teams, that exudes tremendous discipline, effort, and athleticism. This game will likely come down to the star-studded matchup of Baylor’s Davian Mitchell, and Arkansas’ Moses Moody. But Baylor likely carries too much talent for Arkansas to match up, and so it feels like Baylor is the logical choice to represent the South region.
Our Pick: Baylor
6. USC vs. 1. Gonzaga
Tuesday, March 30
7:15 PM (EST) – Lucas Oil Stadium (TBS)
The Zags have put on stunning performances all tournament, knocking off a competitive Oklahoma squad, only to decimate an ill-prepared Creighton team days later. USC on the other hand have surprised many to take out a March Madness Mainstay in 3-seeded Kansas, and an athletic Oregon team coming off a dominant win over 2-seeded Iowa. USC is led by future NBA lottery pick Evan Mobley, and his brother Isaiah Mobley, and carry more size, and length than any other team in the competition. While USC’s run has been mesmerizing, and they probably carry the best chances to knock off the undefeated Gonzaga team. It feels like Mark Few’s team is the team to bet on!
Our Pick: Gonzaga
11. UCLA vs. 1. Michigan
Tuesday, March 30
9:57 PM (EST) – Lucas Oil Stadium (TBS)
Few could have imagined that when UCLA knocked off Mr. March in the First Four a week ago, that the same team would then advance to the Elite 8. However, we’re at the point in the competition where the Bruins seem to be back, and may very well pull off the unthinkable. Although, the Wolverines have not missed a step since losing Isaiah Livers, and are a team that does not make many mistakes. UCLA will have to take full advantage of every opportunity, because Michigan aren’t going to lose the game by beating themselves. This game will likely be close, but expect Juwon Howard’s boys to keep it rolling, and advance to the Final Four.
Our Pick: Michigan
Final 4
Saturday, APRIL 3
Game 1: 5:00 PM – Lucas Oil Stadium
Game 2: 8:30 PM – Lucas Oil Stadium

9:00 PM – Lucas Oil Stadium
